The children review their reading books on line ..

The fiction review consists of three pages.

The first asks them about the title, author etc., why they chose the book and the plot. The descriptive text fields can be as long as they wish.

They can return to a page  as many times as they want.

These can be used with other fields to search the database for books that children really enjoyed. For example it is possible to search for "Fantasy" books which were given a score of 10.

Reviews are spell checked as they are entered and mis-spelt words are highlighted with strike through, e.g. chilren .

All the reviews are stored in a central database which can be built up over time.

Search for the Best Books and Poems

The database search option can be used to find books of a particular type e,g, Genre that other children recommended highly.

Barred Word Check

Checks children’s Reviews as they are entered and highlights words and phrases they are discouraged from using. E.g "It was crap" (and much worse) is highlighted.

The list of unacceptable words and phrases can be updated by the system manager. A log is kept of the usage of these barred words and phrases.
